There seems to be a lot of "male influence" on the forum today...... do you lot have no work to do or are you popping on the forum from work?

At present sitting at home enjoying a cup of tea and will soon be going out for a meal with my wife and neighbours. Early retirement is absolute bliss - should have done it when I was in my early twenties.

Retirement! surely you are not retired yet Colin

I am on sick leave at the minute and I am bored stiff, can't wait to get back to work.

Having said that, when we retire we are looking forward to being in the van more often than we are now!

Hi Maureen

No, unfortunately the accessories shop were unable to offer me anything permenant so I am now working as an administrator for the MOD (on camp so it's really handy) - been there 7 months now and love it.

Hi Lol

Stitches not too bad, more uncomfortable now than painful. Off to Clumber on Friday for the weekend if you fancy popping over.

Lolly I took early retirement three years ago when I was 59 - 62 next month. Can' fault it at all - if anybody requires a reference I will give a glowing reference - as I said before I should have done it years ago.

There is not enough minutes in the day to be bored - get up around 8:00 to 8:30am and retire to bed at approx. midnight and during the day there is plenty to keep me occupied eg gardening, going out with the wife eg Porthcawl for the day, or countless other hobbies I have. Looking back I think work interupted my pleasure activities. I am not the one who, now retired am sitting back and waiting for God - far from it.

I'm afraid I'm working again, Lolly. Got double shifts for 3 days this week, so any spare time is going to be spent curled up in bed. Enjoy yourself though, hope the weather improves for you.

Lolly,

You will find that once you are retired .....you are so busy enjoying yourself you'll wonder how you had time to go to work !!! AND you can do what you like when you like..... no alarm clocks necessary.Just stay in bed until you feel like getting up !!

Having said that I also have to say that duties as a grandparent do tend to crop up from time to time. I love them to bits but happily wave when they go back home ))

How does the saying go??

When women talk it is called 'chatter', when men talk it is called 'discussion'.

Sorry not heard of that saying (",) Liz
So you men talk discussion you say ok, discuss, discuss, but that never gets the job done. At least we chatter and work and the job gets done. Liz
