I have a yr old new shape ML with a factory fitted towbar and 13 pin electrics.

The ign controlled live has never worked but this has never bothered me as i altered the caravan cable to run the fridge off the permanent live in the socket.

This now needs to change as my new van has ATC so this needs the live feed so i have no feed to my fridge.

The socket is fully wired and the ign controlled feed joins a fuse box in the rear of the car which is fuse protected. The fuse is ok ,is there a relay or something that you need to add.I have no fuse or relay diagrams in my books.

Anybody had similar with Mercedes factory electrics

Hi,

I've owned two new Mercedes with 13 pin ISO 11446 electrics - one a C-class where the tow-bar was fitted by an independent tow-bar company (used by MB), and the other an E-class with a factory fitted tow-bar (and we made sure they knew we wanted the fridge circuit enabled). And both worked as expected.

I'd suggest asking MB to find and fix the issue - or ask an independent to resolve this.
