I think we have dismissed the RV route but are very interested in Hymers , just got to find one that won't have me working 'til I'm 90!!!

Have to say at the last minute I got Sunday / Monday off and decided to go away but the time involve in getting the van ready meant it wasn't going to happen, so I think, at the end of this season we have decided to join you on ..............

..........THE DARK SIDE!!!

Brian we had a motorhome for a year and then returned to caravanning as there was not the same amount of room in the motorhome for my wife and self and the two grandchildren. On saying that for just the two of us it was brilliant and I do miss it as we would often go out for a day to Saundersfoot or Port Eynon and enjoy ourselves. There is also that sense of comradship on the road as drivers wave to each other. Try the sister web page for motorhomes - not quite so up to date as this site, still gas fired.

You hit the nail on the head there Colin. We use the caravan 3 or 4 times a year but I think the use we would get from a motorhome would make it worth while given that we would use it for days out etc.

You know us, Brian. We like to be a hindrance, err I mean help. Hymers are good quality, good luck in your search. Bit disappointed you're not going the RV route though. Doesn't arriving on a nice quite CL where everyone is just using the basics for the sheer tranquility of it all, then turning on your genny and air con while you increase the sound on your 42" plasma, do anything for you?
