Microwaves in caravans

Do not use a microwave in the van but as far as plate warming goes do find each plate needs a sprinkle of water to warm in the microwave otherwise nothing happens!

Always do this at christmas before getting the stuff out of the oven.

I also believe running a microwave with nothing in it to heat can damage the microwave.
 
Maybe it depends on what sort of crockery you use ? I have never had a problem !

I would never lower standards and use plastic for either plates or drinking ( especially drinking) "ware". Cheers !
