Milenco Aero Towing Mirrors

I tow using Milenco Grand Aero mirrors. I recently changed my car to a BMW X3 Sport and the mirrors cracked the plastic on the wing mirrors. BMW blame the mirrors and Milenco blame BMW. Any views on what towing mirrors I could use or how I can adapt the mirrors I have.

Sadly plastic isn't as strong as the screw fasteners.
For years I have used SMAT which have heavy duty rubber bands as fasteners.
Solid as a rock. Take seconds to fit and no damage.

We have just changed the car and found the Milencos would not longer fit securely on the car mirrors resulting in me having to buy some strap on ones. I prefer the Milencos though and if they produce a strap on model I will look at it, but needing mirrors in a hurry I did not have time to shop around and had to take what I found.

I faced the same issue on changing from a Disco 3 to a run-out Disco 4 with its tapered bezel mirrors.
The Aeros were not clamping well, but by cutting a 3/4" odd rubber sleeve from a cycle inner tube and placing this on the Milenco's bottom wedge, it transformed their suitability.
The lastest version has a smear of rubber tape glued on the wedge to address this issue.
