Is this product any good? The advert says "Recommended by the Caravan Club". But using it dry on a muddy van - wouldn't it scratch the surface?

All observations, good or bad, welcomed.
 
Hi Susan, I used it on my car once a few years back did an ok job but did'nt like the idea of using it on a dirty car, but saying that it did'nt leave any scratches.
