I have a VW Compass Calypso and my kitchen mixer tap is leaking from a small crack at the base of the tap (just above the surface of the sink unit). Can this be fixed - and if not, can anyone suggest the best place to get a replacement?
Hi Shelby
Is it leaking all the time, or only when opened? And do you hear the pump constantly operating?
Because a lot depends on exactly where the leak is, and also whether your system uses a microswitch on the tap, or a pressure switch on the pump.
Hi Tony
Leaks only when turned on and then as a dribble from hairline crack.
Only apparent on first use this spring so I wonder if this is due to freezing temperatures over winter (although I thought I had properly emptied water system).
When asking about fixing, I mean can the crack be sealed from the outside in any acceptable way - and if not, where do I go to buy a replacement?
