Mobile Phone???

Having just purchased a new mobile phone which is different from my old 'folding' type can anyone suggest how I can 'lock it off' when in the bottom of my handbag? I have looked in the handbook but no mention is made of this. Thanks for your help.

TOH has just found the required 'key'. I know, I must do better!

depends what type it is, but generally pressing the "Menu" button followed by either the hash key # or the star key * locks the keypad. with Nokia I'm sure it is Menu #.

Thanks Mark we have found it. It is a single key move and dead simple even for me! Thanks for your reply though.

Thanks David, we have now found the required 'key'! Just ageism I guess on my part - the OH found it almost immediately. No he isn't a toyboy he is 2 years my senior. I wonder where that leaves me!
