Hi All
Going to Spain at the end of January, hoping to stay around Mojacar. Can anyone recommend a good campsite? Does anyone have knowledge of any which we should avoid? We have an ACSI card if there is anywhere that takes it.

We had looked into staying at either Cueva Negra or Sopalmo but their ratings weren't too good and Sopalmo is some distance out of Mojacar. There is also another site in Mojacar itself (El Quinto) which doesn't sound too bad, but it was not for us as we were only interested in sites with direct beach access. In the end we spent October and November at Bellavista in Aguilas, about 25 miles north of Mojacar.

Site we have used for many years is Cuevas Mar in Palomares north of Mojacar. Sea is about 500m. ASCI card taken. A bit basic but friendly. Half site is naturist. In books under Garrucha.

Many thanks for advice. Have found campsites mentioned in ACSI book, so they are looking good. Cuevas Mar sounds interesting, will try this one for sure. Glad to hear the sun is shining!

Hi Ray,
Had every intention of visiting Cuevas Mar. Called in at Los Gallardos Camping where friends were staying, and stayed there for a month, then moved up to Marjal Guardamar.
Many thanks for your kind help, there is always next year!
Hope your stay was problem free and your journey home okay too.

Thanks, we also have friends ' resident' at LG. Understand the fish and chips are very good.
No problems in return from Spain except believing the satnav when should have known better.
