mondeo 2.0 TDCI and caravan upgrade

You've all probably been asked this a million times before but could someone plese tell me what the towing limit is for a ford mondeo 2.0 tdci hatchback.

I'm thinking of upgrading my caravan to a fixed bed model is there any suitable for the above car

Do you have the owners handbook in the car? This lists the maximum braked trailer weight for your car in the technical / specification section.

I have used it to tow our Pagent series 5 Vendee fixed bed mtplm1392kg.

Car tows great and van is exceptionaly stable.

Oh it's a 02 tdci 130bhp with 112k on the clock.

Hello John, The towing limit is 1800kgs. I think the car weighs in at 1550kgs. In any event, I think I'm correct in saying that the braked and unbraked towing limits for all cars are shown on their registration documents.

Fixed bed is not the issue - it is the weight of the van.

My ST hatch weighs in at 1645kgs of which I tow a Coachman at 1500kgs.

Towing limit is 1800kgs for the TDCi's.
