We had a letter of Ford a couple of weeks ago for a recall on the brakes.

apparently, there is a fault while braking until the engine is warm, and they need to replace a part.

Hubby phoned last week to book the car in they said they would call us when the part was in as they didn't stoc it.

Guess what?

Were still waitng they can't get the part.

Holidys coming up and towing a van how would this effect insurance?

unless the letter advises against driving the car until the recall is carried out, then you are ok to drive the car as normal.

If you feel unsure, warm the engine up before running the car.

Brake fault, ray advises warm engine first,or carry on driving.ray i,ll presume you have the necessary qualifications to advise this procedure,or the public liability insurance to cover the poster in the event of an accident?for sure ray you know more than Ford, because the actual fault is not detailed.beggars belief.
