Most menorable Tv ad

Reading through Angus' question about anoyingf ads, I got to think about what is my most memorable ad of all time and do you know I can't decide just yet.

How about you????

Like you I will have to think about this one, but the one I always remember is the Citreon ad, the car that turns into a skater on Ice, really clever.

On your last trip did you discover what the Earth people eat?

They eat a great many of these............

Ooooer, blubglug danna bu grog!

They peel them with their metal knives.........

He he he ha hah he!

They boil them for 20 of their minutes.....

Hu he du he he hah eh!

Then they smash them all to bits ..........

HA HEHAHOH RAH RAH HE!

They are most clearly primitive people.......

HAAAAAAA HEEEEAAAAHHHH HO HO HO HO HO HO HO!!!!!!

FORRRRRRRRRRRR MASH GET SMASHHHHHHH ⇦ musicly jingley thingy.

Doris Day sang "Move over Darling" in the background.

A very good looking lady drove a Classic Jaguar on a deserted road and the car stopped.

She got out and looked beneath the bonnet.

She reached in a pulled out the remains of a broken fan belt.

You can probably guess the rest if you cannot remember it

The best advert on TV must be the Wales Tourist Board highlighting the virtuous wonders of Wales. These all come before the well known seven wonders of the world such as the sphinx, etc. This advert is closely followed by the adverts for Welsh beef and Brains beer. The worst is the belittling advert for Pot Noodle.

Must have missed the Welsh Tourist Board Ad. I guess it was very short.

Apart from "they Peel them with their little knives"

"1001 cleans a big big carpet for less than half a crown"

I guess that will leave a few guessing.

For us it's got to be the Famous Grouse adverts usually on around Christmastime. One of the few clever adverts that doesn't have any speaking or loud music, but still gets your attention. Not a bad drink either!

Always made laugh that they spent a fortune at Christmas on the

"don't say ****, say Co" ads only to still hear people ask for a COCKburns port.

I guess providing they got the sale they did'nt really care what people called it though.

The Rossiter and Collins ads for Martini have to be some of the all time greats.

What about the caravanning ads from the NCC with Liza Goddard( I have the originals from when I worked in the industry)
Hello Plotter

Can't recall these ads.

Can you give more details please? Date etc

Thanks.

BigAl,not sure of date but would I think be around 1990 the tapes of the ads were sent to me by the NCC and I have others to do with Park Homes they are in my loft I will try in the next few days to get them down and let you have more detail,to be honest I dont know why I have kept them.
