Motor mover handset/remote control sticking

Hi there,
When moving my caravan yesterday, I got a little bit of a fright when I took my finger off the Powrtouch handset/remote control button and my caravan kept moving!!! I had to quickly swithc it off at the reset switch.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this being an issue with the below handset/remote control?

Powertouch have a helpline. I would ring them as I have not heard of the problem.p

It sounds as if the membrane key pad is simply sticking physically (even if the press button itself is moving freely) .... a very common problem with all such key pads. Sometimes you can dismantle them and clean them up successfully.......sometimes you just have to admit defeat and find a replacement.
