Motor Mover Power Supply.

When I bought my new caravan last year, I had a Truma Original motor mover fitted by the dealer. I have had problems with my battery voltage dropping while the caravan is in storage, and have had to resort to disconnecting from the battery terminals. I have noticed that with the battery connected my Truma control unit has a flashing red light. There is no isolator switch fitted to the control unit, so I am thinking the control unit is continually seeking the remote control? I am having the caravan serviced on Friday and would value forum members opinions on a isolator switch?

I have the trauma mover fitted to my twin axle and this was done by the supplier when I purchased the caravan

They fitted the isolation switch in the battery box

It is a must in my opinion to have the isolation switch if connected directly to the battery

Mine is nt I have to plug a lead into the front of the caravan before I get an electrical circuit but even so as I said I have the isolation switch

It should have a isolator fitted, movers have been known to operate by spurious signals, or fail to obey the remote, plus the mover control unit may be a drain on your battery.
The dealer who fitted the mover should fit the isolator FOC.

I had no isolator switch on my Carver original as standard
Its quite easy to fit one between the battery and the mover usually inside the battery box under the mains inlet
I fit one in each lead so that I connect just one pair of leads from the 2 switches to the battery and then connect the van pos and neg to the 2 isolator switch terminals thus giving more room in the battery box
