Motorway service stops in Kent

Stopped at Clacket Lane, followed the caravan signs......and found just a single layby at the back of the service area which probably took 3 outfits max!

Briefly stopped at Maidstone services on the way back....followed the caravan signs again and found some well marked but narrow bays......but with vans parked up in them, in every other bay, and too tight to get in between without a serious risk of a van-door shaped crease in the caravan side.

Next time through Kent I guess we'll probably keep on driving.

Junction 11 on the M20 has a new service area - a Shell fuel station - and a Folkestone port and Eurotunnel staging / waiting area (with the usual fast food outlets) - and with TV screens showing the status of the crossings.

I stopped there on my commute back from Rotterdam, mainly because I needed some fuel - but also to check it out. There are dedicated waiting slots for caravans and motorhomes - and it looks quite reasonable.

I keep a notebook where I jot down good & bad MSA's for caravanners and these have been added to it.
