Movers

Hello Keneth,

Some models can be fitted behind the wheels. For details check with the manufactures web sites for technical help.

I was looking at the instructions for my mover last night (in preparation for changing the van), and was surprised to read that it could be mounted aft of the axle. Its a Powrtouch - and I am very pleased with it.

Movers can be fitted in either location, as long as there is room to do so.

It is preferred to fit forward of the axle to reduce road spray on the units.

The exception is twin axle vans where it has been better to fit behind the wheels simply to aid less scrubbing of the tyres when turning, by raising the front as high as possible to reduce weight on one set of wheels.

Hi

I have a Rhyno mover on my van. It is reputedly the lightest on the market at 29kg. I asked about mounting it and was told that it could be mounted in either position but in front of the axle was preferred for the reason given above. I was told that it would only make a difference of about 1kg to the nose-weight. I have found this British manufacturer to have first rate customer services and I would highly recommend them.
