some local authourities provide convenient storage conatainers for salt/grit that are available for the public to access. the only problem can be that if it is severe enough weather to have the need to use it, then most likely you wont be able to use the car to go for it.

have just had a brilliant solution !, wrap an old bicycle chain around your wheelbarrow wheel, so as to give it grip, then the wee wifey can run up and down to the storage point all night and collect more than enough for her to clear the driveway, absolutely brill idea, and it works a treat, i just got her to deliver a dozen barrow loads tonight, job done.

DEAR Highlander thanks for the advice i have just got her a wheelbarow a new shovel of fle bay wont get till after xmas so i will hide it and give it to her for her birthday in june then she can use it in the garden till winter when i can send her up road to get the salt(grit) thanks once again merry xmas

i found that the salt boxes are a perffict fix as a front box for our trailor tent

Highlander could you please tell us your wee wifeys name I know it begins Saint ?I would be so pleased to offer her my greatest admiration.She really deserves a mention in the New Years Hon ours list. That is if you can give her the time off to collect her award.I would be more than happy to take over her household duties.Exciting to think about using the new vacuum and baking a very large humble pie for your delectation.I shall arrive on my electric broomstick complete with cackle and cauldron.Now try to stay calm and not get overexcited

thursday ma wee lass, listen in and learn.

its me who should be on the honours list, jesus dae you no understand the lengths i go to for her, i constantly strive to make her working life that wee bit easier for her, i give her back some regular pocket money out of her wage pack (which she brings home for me to open each week), any gifts that i buy are for the purpose of her having an easier life, phew, she is one lucky wee lass, who knows where she would have been now if it werent for me and the impact i have had on her wee life, yes, i am proud to think that i do my best for her, after all thats what we are here for.

i might even allow her to pull a cracker off the tree once she has my dinner plates wahed and dried, although if she wins then i still get the contents.

have a nice one and give some thought to yer man, we deserve it.
