The crystals are drawing the moisture in Kev.
It's your choice at the end of the day but if moisture was somehow always drawn into your caravan from the outside then surely you'd notice it when the caravan is in use?
Humidity changes from day to day and alters at different times of day but it is ambient.
There's a case for leaving a couple of windows on the night latch if the weather isn't too extreme to prevent condensation but if you placed 100 bags or containers of crystals around your caravan they would all attract moisture. The more that you use, the more moisture you will get.
The dealer wanted you to visit is shop regularly because he knows most of us can't visit a caravan accessory shop and just buy some small item that we were looking for ( or had recommended to us by the shop owner)
The chances are that we'll end up spending more than the cost of a couple of 'moisture traps' at one time or another.

Thanks for the explanation Parksy, you have convinced me, going to remove them from the van tomorrow and see how it fairs over this coming winter.

Has anyone seen the shop in the middle of Beer (E Devon) called Woosie's Deli ?
If this is true, wait until our leader Sir DD see's this, he's going to be spitting bog rolls,

DD will on behalf of all Woosie members issue a writ for them to stop using our club name in vain

Kev, i see your signature is "honourary member of the Woosie Club". I thought you were a full and founder member. Surely TC who is scarcely as Woosie as you and DD is an "honourary" member. I do think some attention to the club consitution and grades of membership is required.
