I have a 2012 Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 Hdi 90. The registration document says 1200kg. The handbook says 1200kg. The pillar label says 1000kg. Which is the right number?
Pillar definitely says 1000kg braked. Are you sure the pillar label says 1000kg or have you just subtracted the GVW from the gross train weight? You may still be able to tow 1200kg if the GVW isn't used to the full, so long as you don't exceed the gross train weight.

You're absolutely correct, you HAVE to calculate it!Can you post either a photo of the details shown on the pillar or list them in text form? It surprises me that a weight plate should quote towload limits. They actually have no place on a statutory weight plate.

On my door pillar the upper most weight value is 2175kg, the second line is 3825kg, which makes the max tow weight (3825-2175)=1650.
The other two weights (in my case 1260kg and 1200kg) are permitted maximum axle weights.
From clear as mud to clear as crystal. Thanks to all.The 1000kg is the maximum weight on the axle and not the towing weight. the 90okg is the maximum weight for the other axle. If you subtract 1779 from 2979 you get the towing figure of 1200kg
Well yes and no.From clear as mud to clear as crystal. Thanks to all.
