My campsite reviews for the French Alps and the journey

Tim - I'd like to read your reviews as we have ambitions in that direction for next year. Unfortunately you link won't work for me.

Hi VM

I expect you just couldn't believe it! sorry.

The caravan talk website seems to have been changed around since I posted this topic. The link is now

http://www.caravantalk.org.uk/forum/57-site-reviews-abroad/
If that doesn't work try logging onto www.caravantalk.org.uk and then looking in the forum sub-section site reviews abroad. I'm not sure if you have to be a member to read the reviews but I don't think so - even if you do registration is free and easily done.

I have submitte reviews for the same sites to ukcampsite.co.uk ( on the campsite search section - under the town names) too but I'm not sure which ones are actually live yet as I'm having trouble with ukc account and can't get onto the site at present.

I have, also, recently been posting on several threads on ukc regarding our trips to the Alps and Pyrenees in the overseas section. Just look for likely thread titles.

Hope this helps

Tim

Tim (aka Big Tim I presume). Thanks, I think I found your posts. Our trip this year was 96 days and included two weeks in Pyrenees at Luz and Luchon. Next year hope for a longer trip taking in some of the French Alps along the way. Love mountains!

Hi VicM2

Yes you've found my alias, Big Tim. If you like mountains, like us, the French Alps are REALLY SOMETHING. As I've already said in some of my posts on ukc the Mont Blanc range accessed from Chamonix area is really spectacular but more commercialised in terms of cable cars, mountain trains, etc than the Pyrenees. Still not like Blackpool though!!.

We visited the Pyrenees for the summer of 2008 and stayed near Argeles Gazost. Loved that area too.

Best wishes

Tim
