My caravan blog

Hi all,

Bit of a newbie to these forums but thought I'd have a go.

I'm a caravan nut who got tired of wading through online for sites to feed my addiction...

So I've come up with a caravan blog, where I'm going to post up daily stories and updates from the world of caravans.

Have a peek if you get a chance - I've written a semi-rant on cancelling caravan pitches, as well as stuff on security.

Plus there's a video of a runaway caravan which I can't for the life of me figure out how it was made.

Cheers for the support,

Marcus.

Very nice Marcus

I would suggest that when you post on a caravan forum you first of all read the rules which you have accepted as a condition of membership, especially rule 6.

I consider it rather rude to post on another forum in order to attempt to poach members

Parksy,

Thanks for your post but I'm hardly aiming to 'poach' members here - it's a blog I'm talking about!

There are no members, only visitors. It's a bit of fun.

I've been a visitor to this site for some time and a caravan fanatic, so wanted to start my own blog.

Not sure what the fuss is, but I'll re-read those rules and keep to them in future.

Thanks again!

but surely marcus is giving general info on his thoughts. not advertising something ...when i ask for advice about areas to visit, i get advice on sites...so by naming sites to visit is that against the rules, as it could be seen as advertising... i for one think someone elses blog would be interesting, or do you want everyone for yourself parksy. regards ED

I'm not going to enter a debate about this issue.

Marcus added links to his blogsite in at least two other posts on other topics and I haven't actually deleted any of them which rather negates the point made by ed.

We neither comment adversely about other websites or actively promote them on this forum.

Marcus appears to be asking for 'support' from members who have so far 'supported' this one.

hello parksy,

my thoughts were honest thoughts, not neccesarily meant for debate, i was trying to understand your meaning of your reply, surely if rules are broken, the post or person gets deleted.(still not been to the blog, so youve still got me) regards ed

Hi Parksy, hello Ed

Appreciate the viewpoints and the bottom line is, I've re-read those rules and will abide.

I for one enjoy Practical Caravan's forum and would like it to continue that way!

So once again apologies for the faux pas 🙂

M

On reflection I may have been a little bit cruel so apologies to all.

Now that I've had time to take a proper look I can see the blog for what it is.

We've tried to help forums in the past by allowing information and links to be posted on here and in return we are invariably referred to as 'the dark side' on one forum for our pains. Good luck with the blog Marcus

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

I haven't looked at your blog yet because I am in a bit of a rush.

Hi Parksy, before your last post, I was just going to comment, (I haven't read rule 6 yet so apologies if I've got it completely wrong) but we often used to get a person from another forum putting the link to his forum on here and those links wern't removed as far as I can remember.

Anyway, its stopped raining now so I can rush to my car without getting wet.

Kind regards

Lisa

OOOOOOps

You've posted clarification:

I totally agree with your comments. I'll leave it alone now. LOL!!
