Site owners set the rules, but they so blatantly break them, my last topic about dogs has been removed, dont know why, had no explanation of practical?

my topic was removed because I named the park that allows its dogs to ---- all over the place, but my dog must follow the rules, it was wales, the site might have won wales in bloom many times, have I named the site no !!!!

Perhaps you don't advertise as much as the park?
Anyway, don't worry, with the hastening collapse of the economy there probably soon won't be a Practical Caravan magazine or a forum to worry about.

I never saw your post but I think I can guess which site it is and the reason it was deleted. I've never been there though.
When a post is deleted do 'they' let you know? Another forum where I contribute regularly 'moves' my posts. I think I've had only one 'deleted' when the whole topic was 'removed', but they always let me know - and the reasons why it has been moved or deleted.
On this forum I've thought my posts have 'gone missing' but can't be bothered to trawl through everything I thought I might have contributed to - but it doesn't seem as if you are informed of the deletion.

If His Windyship deleted a post or suspended your account he would e-mail you. I've even had warnings to be a good boy and to ignore some people but I've seen others saying the same as you recently, posts go for no reason or if there is a reason they are not told. If a post is edited (part deleted) you can see that because it is marked as edited.
I posted a joke the other day,"a scary walk home".
While it may not have been in the best of taste,it was clean;no swearwords,no sexual connotations,no implied racism.
One member complained and the mod deleted it with a stinging post questioning my psychiatric state.But no email.It was all done publicly,including the insult.
As soon as I submitted a post challenging the mod's sanctimonious attitde,the whole thread disappeared. And still no explanitary email.

Same happened to sidney, I made a post in his defence because it wasn't offensive and the whole thread went.

I think the best way to view the mods is people who are desperate for their 15 mins of fame. I think we are all grown up enough to discuss any topics and make our own minds up about certain posters. Didn't someone famous once say somethinig along the lines of ' I might not agree with what you are saying but I will defend your right to say it'. Mods would do well to follow this advice.
