Before I go hacking around I wonder if someone here might be able to put their finger on it, No power to the N/s break light (0 volts), Centre and o/s works fine. I'm thinking a break in the wiring at some point as I assume its a single wire that operates all 3 break lights and there is not going to be a fuse for each..? or am I wrong? Earthing is fine as all other lights are working on that bar.

No imo you are correct. Finding where the three cables start is hard. I wonder if the Abbey Owners Club could give you a steer? Or maybe run a whole new cable?

I might be able to run a line from the centre light which is double wired, but the vans going to be doing its last run next week before being retired to the breakers so dont want to mess around too much so might just leave it as is...

Caravan road lighting can throw some odd steers.

Before you start tracing wires you should do this first. The light fittings in caravans do seem to suffer corrosion, and simply exposing the bulbs and fittings Check each bulb (you could swap them from side to side to see if that clears the fault or if the fault moves with the bulb.

Cleaning each of bulbs contacts and its socket in the caravan their contact areas.

Also in turn ( so you don't lose track of where each one goes) is to pull off each crimp connector in the light fitting clean them and spades and reconnect them.

I'd als suggest you check the wire connections inside the plug that goes to the car. This is most exposed to wear and tear. If you have split pins in the plug, it can be worth just widening the splits a bit to make better contact with the mating part on the car.

nine times out of ten one or a combination of these actions fixes the road lighting problems.

Solved by drilling a hole through the rear of the centre light and the back of the n/s unit then feeding a cable through, behind the rear cupboards and cooker... A couple of scotch locks for a temporary fix and it all works, hopefully it will last out for the couple of weeks for her final outing.. Issue may well have been in the o/s unit wiring/connections ( or somewhere in-between) but couldn't gain access to it as its been stuck in...
