naburn lock, york

Yes we went there a couple of years ago, nice site ,showers and toilet facilitys a bit basic but were always clean,good size grass pitches,but the site can be prone to flooding. Close to river as name would suggest and there was a river bus that went into York from the lock, not sure if it runs all the time, also near to Macaurthur glen shopping village and about 4 miles from the center of York. Very friendly and helpful owners I think they had recently taken over when we were there.Hope this helps.

Jasper has said it all,its a very friendly site with real down to earth site owners,good place to see York from ,go for it.

York is the most interesting city we have ever been too,use the park and ride from nearby or the boat from near the site. Jim
 
thank you as for the flooding, i would say we don't get that much rain in june, but after this year it worth i second thought thats
