NCCC

Is the National Caravan Council really in the best interest of caravaners?
It's a limited company and its members are generally of the caravan industry. OK so the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravan club are also involved but lets face it they are profit making organisations.

Shouldn't there be a truly independant organisation involved?

Yes there should. However it's the same in other walks of life. The NHBC is supposed to look after homeowners, but is funded by builders, and the Law Society is supposed to keep an eye on the legal profession, but is run by lawyers! Nothing's perfect.

To my knowledge, the NCCC was never formed with the intent and object of representing caravanners. As I understand the NCCC, it is and always has been a body to consolidate the interests of the caravan industry.

Better known as Noddy's Caravan Club. I guess most remember the electricity check fiasco earlier this year wher they could not answer any questions on whether a check should be made annually or whether every caravan had to have a clearance certificate..
