Nec Show and CC

Last week I went to the Nec show.

I have written emails for 2 years to the Caravan Club about updating their website. Specifically, when one tries to find a CL it is an effort to find it exaclty from a pin prick on a map, this is not the case with club sites. The Club often complains that members do not use CL's. I suggested that they treat Cl's in the same way on the website as normal sites, with a location map etc.

At the show I went up to the CC stand and the lady said good idea ' 1st I've heard of it'. A chap was standing there who had a motorhome. He said he'd been saying the same for a few years to no avail.

Any thoughts?

A good idea, we have never used a CL site, yet, and as I understand, the people who do use the good ones seem to like to keep them secret.

Understand this, you lot. CLs are dreadful. You would not like them. Do not use them. It will ruin your holiday. Stay away. Awful places, all of them.

Yes, I agree they are terrible places, but I just want to be able to find more of them to confirm this. No wonder, with the poor details of the caravan club that you never find them - dreadful though they are.

In all honesty, if you find a good one, you never recommend it. The CC must be mad for suggesting anyone will.

have a look at this site www.armcher.com you can down load a cl video and save it to your computer for 50p.

my advise is go through your cc book at the cl sites. circle the ones you want then have a look on this site to see if they have the video on them. if so download for 50p it even shows you the approaching roads and tells you if they are narrow. they even advised me to put it onto a dvd.

it shows you the cl and the facilities ie shower, loo and laundry oh and the water and chemical toilet emptying point. some even have swimming pools.

sorry i have just let the cat out of the bag.

i wouldnt have gone to a cl before but no watching the dvd i have made out of what i down loaded i would go and save a fortune.
