Off back to France in early Sept. Will take the ferry from Dover to Dunkirk first thing Sunday and thought would spend the first night somewhere near St Omer before going on to meet friends at Les Andeleys near Rouen. it's too far for one hop after driving 200 miles to Dover.
TIA

Use Camping Cheques and stay at Chateau du Gandspette between Calais and St Omer at £13.95 per night for two people, car and caravan, awning and electricity. It's a lovely site with a nice bar and restaurant, good clean sanitary facilities, particularly in the new part of the site, and very friendly owners/managers. We stay there at the end of each holiday and have a meal in the restaurant for our last French meal.

Agree with Val A about Gandspette. We usually use it for the first/last night of trips to France etc due to its proximity to the ferry, but have also used it for longer stays on occasion. Very pleasant site, nice pool and restaurant and very well laid out.
