Need decent overnight site near Bilbao

We will be travelling back up through Spain from Portugal in a few days and are looking for a decent overnight site within an hour or so of Bilbao.
The site in Bilbao has poor reports.
We have been advised that there is a good site at Zarautz - but that is in the wrong direction for people travelling up from the south.
There seems to be a site in Pancorbo - south of Bilbao. Does anyone have experience of staying there please? The site name is El Desfiladero - it's on the N1. Can't find it in the lastest ACSI or Caravan Club books.
We would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks

........this may be too far away from Bilbao but possible for a mid to late afternoon ferry departure.

Camping Cubillas..........stayed there recently and next to AP1. Junction 102.
OK for an overnight stop and will match ASCI prices for a caravan outfit if you have a card.
You have to be insistent as the €16 deal they offer is weirdly for Motor Caravans.
They give you a gate code so you can leave early.
There is free wifi.

Yes - there is a site at Pancorbo. I did an overnight stop there twenty years ago before catching the midday sailing from Bilbao on P&O's Pride of Bilbao. It's about a sixty mile drive away. When I arrived at the port I found that several other caravanners had spent the night on the dockside. For the next two years I joined about ten other vans parked there overnight. If you want to find the site, leave the AP1 at Junction 4 and travel in the same direction on the N1.

You can park overnight on the Port at Bilbao. We have done this many times. If you look at Brittany Ferries website under the information about Ports, it tells you on there.
