Hi. I went to see the new Bailey California in the flesh today. I currently have a Swift Challenger 540 fixed bed so was vwey interested in what may have been a worthwhile change.
I have to say I came away a bit disappointed. The lounge area would be fine with a chest at the front which apparantly you can order, but you do lose a lot of storage in this area compared with the Indiana or 540.
You will have to be of trim build to get through to and use the bathroom facilities, narrow entrance and then not a lot of space at the back. Wardrobe loses drawers and just has shelves.
Overall I appreciate that you cannot do miracles with the space available, but I will wait and see what Swift do on the new 570 Challenger. I would also say that some of the interier build quality on the van today was a bit suspect, drawers and cupboards not a good fit.
I don't think I would change from the Indiana or 540 for this layout.
