New caravanner

We keep hankering after another dog, we had a chocolate labrador (Fudge) from the age of 9 weeks old until just before her 17th birthday, she was one year and one day older than our daughter. Now our daughter's at university the house seems very quiet and there's a definite dog-sized gap.
 
What a cute little slipper chewer, He looks like he will keep you busy. Whenever we bring a young dog into the house we like to pair them with an the older dog that knows the rules it saves a lot of time poop training. We have always had black labs Molly now 11 years needs a friend, I couldn't live in a house without a dog she also goes to work with me every day.

At the moment the older dog who is 11 years of age is still adjusting to the puppy and she snaps at him. We think it is jealously as she does the same if the cat goes to OH and they grew up together. Just a slight lack of sleep as crying last night at bedtime and then started again this morning at 5am. However that is to be expected so we live with it. LOL! 😆
 
I think I will have to find a puppy soon but with everything else going on at the moment ,and the cost of a pup she may have to wait awhile. I checked out a local kennel a few months back and the breeder wanted £1150 for a working dog line. Maybe I'm just out of touch but that seemed expensive to me. The best part of getting a new family member is finding out who they are, molly came from a working strain , She is the only aggressive Labrador we have ever had, The postman thinks its funny, but he might not if she was to ever get over the gate too old now though . I'm sure Rory will have you rolling about the floor laughing with his antics.😊

Pups like ours were selling for nearly £2k withour KC certification. Now less than a third of that price and sellers are finding them hard to shift looking at ads were pups are 4 months old and the price has been reduced on more than two occasions.

We took into consideration the price we paid back in 2011 for a Yorky and allowing for price rises thought the price very fair. Both of the puppy's parents were imported from Poland registered to the equivalent of the Polish KC there.

Now OH wants one of the others from the same litter.

My last two Springers were rehomes, as was this latest Sprocker. All from working strains, which is what makes them such energetic and lovable companions. If we had not had this one I had been approved to rehome a 12 month old Breton spaniel from Spain.

That is correct however our new Biewer Yorkie could have bene registered with KC as he is a pedigree. Springers ae very nice, but too lively for us and our home is not that large although we have a large front lawn, but it is unfenced.
 
We have had two rehomes one had severe emotional probs and despite everything he did eventually managed to disappear. The other was black Lab with trust issues who over years became the best dog we have ever had in the family, I think if i had more time I would look at giving a stray a home again. . I am not a fan of dog breeders particularly , bu you do generally get what you pay for. The dog does not know it isn't KC reg so unless you intend to show them It doesn't matter.

We have always had X breeds, and rescued except for one lad. Rex. 
Know in France as a Labriche Royale.

we have a yorkie and always have had them, she is 2 years old and a proper show stopper with a lovely nature.
Every man should have a dog to ensure that at least something will always be glad to see him
