New e-petition needs you to sign to help protect our birds of prey.

Please can I ask all of you who value birds of prey in England to put your name this new e-petition, which needs 100,000 signatures to get debated in the House of Commons. It's already got 7,500 signatures.
Birdwatchers can read all about the petition on page 21 of the March issue of Birdwatch Magazine or on the first page of the e-petition.
I know a huge percentage of caravanners and their families enjoy seeing our birds of prey. Please ask everyone you know to sign it.

Many thanks.

I signed this, but "fourteen peregrine falcon territories failed on grouse moors in Lancs forest of Bowland" could be a problem! most of the forest of Bowland belongs to the Duke of Lancaster and we all know who that is

Well I have no idea who the Duke of Lancaster is, if he exists.

For those of you who do not know who the duke of lancaster is, here is an hint.
We are getting an extra bank holiday this year because of the length of time the dukes being doing her main job!

I find this all a bit rich from Charlie Boy seeing as he has some of the best shoots and Hunting Hounds in the Country.

Its high time the landowners face criminal charges for these acts ,instead of just the game keeper. If these keepers were told not to trap or poison,it would surely stop.Hen Harriers at FOB are targetted every year

Thanks to those of you who have signed so far.
Landowners have got to be responsible for what goes on, on their land. The deliberate killing of our birds of prey just has to stop.

I am happy to sign the petition. We have often watched these birds when away with the van. Just as a bit of info:- several years ago, whilst sitting in our garden one summers evening, a screaming sound erupted together with snapping and snarling from my tiny old Pomeranian. We discovered the dog in full confrontation with a very angry very large bird, the bird was at ground level and desperately trying to fly backwards away from Zoe. I rescued her and the bird flew off still screaming. As I had worked at a Bird of Prey Centre nearby I knew it was definitely a large bird of prey. We are now most vigilant with our smallest Pomeranian in case she is mistaken for lunch too!! As we live in South Lincs close to marshland and lack of rain has cut down some of the food chain for birds will this make tiny fluffy pets more vulnerable?

Signed, I wonder why the RSPB are not pushing their members to also sign this petition? I'm sure there would be far more than 7000 by now. You have got to know about it to sign it. Its also common knowledge, game keepers arn't friends of raptors or anything else that upsets there shooting etc. I know I have worked with them!!!!
