Hello Chaps and Chapesses
I have a Fiat Ducato GrandDuca it has a 1.9 TD, a colleague of mine has a Fiat Ducato van with a 2.3 TD in it.The van is shot body wise but the engine seems quite sweet. Is it a straight swap to transplant his lump into my camper, is the gearbox the same? I'm hoping for a little more grunt uphill, and maybe being able to hodld my own in the dual carriageway duel with lorries etc. Is it worth the effort?

I have a friend who put a new (old) engine in his campervan and the main issue was that it gave him a bad back! Whatever you do, please please use an engine hoist as well as getting some friends to help...
