New honda CRV towbar height?

hi have read on this forum that the witter detachable towbar for the new honda crv sits 30mm lower than the honda(bosal)factory detachable towbar i was just wondering if anybody has had a brink detachable towbar fitted to their crv and how high it sits compaired to the witter and honda towbars and also does the witter and brink fixed towbars sit higher than the detachable ones anyway any information would be appreciated owner of a newish crv awaiting to have a towbar fitted many thanx duncan
 
Hello Duncan,

The EU regulations specify that the FULLY LOADED tow ball on a CAR must sit between 350 and 420mm measured from the centre of the ball vertically to the road surface.

The same requirement is not the case for commercial vehicles. I do not know if the CRV has to comply wth this EU rulling.
 
Hi Duncan - Only able to help re Honda detachable tow bar we had the local dealer fit our tow bar to new shape CR-V - think its made for Honda by Bosal - its 425mm from ground to centre of ball and they charged
