New Icon

Hi here we go again my PC seems to have a mind of its own lately on the tool bar two new icons have appeared one is a ? in a box and is help and the other is two little white rectangles with a pointer below which is options such as 'adjust language band position'settings' and 'restore defaults' the top rectangles is 'restore' anybody know what these are and why they have just appeared?

The box with the ? Cud be a desk top clear up which is asks you if you would like to take any of your short cut of all you have to do is click on it and turn it off and that shod do that.

Is come up when ever you have not been using all the short cuts on your desk top of a long time.

Some time you will get new icon come up on your tool bar when you have down load so thick.

You can cut down on the icon that you have show as well.

Have you recently added any software such as speech reccognition or have more than one language set up for your keyboard? If so these icons appear as a short cut for you to access the setup facilities in this software, or to switch between keyboard languages.

If not, right click on the task bar where there is no icon (normally a blue strip at the bottom of your screen). This will bring up a menu. Move your mouse pointer to "Toolbars" and another menu will appear. You will have a tick against "Language bar". Left click on "Language bar" and the menus will disappear along with the icons.

Thanks the only software added was Adobe but that was about 2 weeks ago.

Hold the mouse porter other the icon and that put a litter box up say some thick or one of them mite be a up date wait to be down load.

If youve just installed the latest Java upgrade that will cause this to happen.

Hi pop up john sorry I have not down loaded Java in fact what is Java?
