New Kia Sportage

Hi all
Having just read the CC towcar of the year awards issue I was disappointed with the review given to the new Sportage. This was high on our shopping list to replace our Skoda Octavia. Anybody out there using one for towing yet who can give some feedback.
Thanks

Sorry this is a duplicate to my previous post, I pressed save but it then didn't appear in the list so I re-entered it all and now I have 2 posts!!

Dear all,

Will check with David Motton when we are getting hold of the Sportage to test in the mag. It's a close relative of the Hyundai iX35 which was good, but quite soft. If the Sportage has a bit more body control with the van on the back, it could be the better car.

Will report back!

Thanks all.
Nigel, the awards seem to favour the Hyundai, had better comments and seems cheaper, however for us the Kia with the 7 rather than 5 year warranty seemed the better option. Our towcar does approx 5000 miles a year and at the moment I change it every 3 years due to warranty running out etc, hence the Kia with 7 year means we'd keep it longer and still have a very low mileage when we changed it at 7 years old.
