Hi there, My wife and I are new to this website and caravans.

I use many different Forums for all manner of subjects. I like the non bias opinions I can get on anything I want to buy.

We have just bought a brandnew Bailey Pageant Provence after months of research. I collect it in March.

I will be pulling it with my BMW 320diesel touring.

Although I am new to Caravans, we have run classic VW baywindow and splitscreen campers for many years.

I have taken and used quite alot of infomation off this forum with the caravan and would like to say thanks to anyone that has helped. I just hope I can be of some help in return with time.

Welcome both of you to the forum. As you have already found out, we are a friendly lot of caravanners who are always willing to share advice. There always seems to be someone who can answer the most complex technical queries.

Happy and safe caravanning.

Welcome to the forum.

We're new to caravanning too and very nearly bought a Bailey Pageant Provence before settling on our Geist. We really liked the L shaped lounge on the Provence but in the end plumped for our van because of the wide fixed bunks that gave each of our 3 kids their own beds - apparently 12 year old boys don't like sharing a double bed with a brother!

We're sure you'll find the space offered in your new caravan a big plus over the VW campervans - Rob's Mum and Dad used to have a Devon Dart that we borrowed pre-kids. It was great fun but a bit cramped and rather cold in the pop-up roof sleeping area! Very practical for touring holidays though.
