Hi, all have been caravaning for 4 years, we currently have a Compass Omega 524, 2005 model which we pull with a new Sorento KX2, we previous had a 20 year old Sprite Major. We have a daughter nearly 7 years old who loves caravaning and a King Charles Spaniel who loves it even more.
My wife and I are currently expecting our second child in June and wonder how difficult it is caravaning with a very young baby. We usually rally with Northumberland District but may have to think about using proper sites for a while. Is there any advice for taking a small baby away?

Hi IJ
Welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on the impending new arrival.
Sorry that caravanning with a new baby is outside my experience until I become a granddad but a query in the General section will yield results.
We rally with the West Mids d.a., as a matter of fact we're off in the morning for a 5 day meet, thankfully on ehu at this time of year. We still occasionally use commercial sites and c.s' 5 van sites which often have ehu, showers and toilets.

I was a late starter at six months old but first took my daughter at 3 months. Never had any issues side bunk with a cot side fitted for bed. John Lewis sleeping bag that did up over the shoulders, boiled kettle to sort bottles. The only change we made to normal was did use disposable nappies when away in the van. Once starting on solids just pre blended food and froze in little tupperware pots. Have fun!!
