Hi, all. New member on this forum, but have been caravanning for many years. Currently hava a Lunar Ultima SB, which we tow with either a Discovery 2 or a Mercedes Sprinter van. Disco is for holiday use, Sprinter to take steam engine to Steam Rallies. Retired some years ago so Disco and caravan are getting more use for holidays, but usually exhibit at about 18-20 steam rallies each year as well.

Welcome to the forum ppplant.
We had a lovely few hours at the steam fair close to Burnham on Sea Somerset
27th July.

I was fascinated with the small traction engines. Also the display of old petrol driven pumps.
Some people put so much work into restoring these items.

There was also a display of cars I'm not sure if they were vintage or veteran?
I found myself walking past them making comments to my wife such as:-

I hope his head gasket doesn't go on the way home (Hillman imp)

I wonder how many half shafts that has had over the years (Austin A40)

I bet the floor is rotten on that (Austin 1100)

However the cars on display were immaculate and a credit to their owners.

There was a lovely Triumph Herald soft top my dad had one identical. I feel myself wanting to say "Not Long Ago" however it was about 1983.

There is something quintessential British about Summer Fairs/Steam Rallies.
On a lovely summers day very little can compare.

Welcome again to the forum best regards Brian
