Welcome. Will you be touring with it or will it be a on a seasonal site. If touring, what sort of vehicle do you intend using to tow the caravan?

Welcome to the forum Bob. Take your time choosing your first buy. Visit a few dealers and see which layout long term will suit your family needs. Ensure you see the FSH including all the annual damp checks. We holiday every year in Northumberland . The boat trips around the Farne Islands are wonderful.

thanks for welcome
The van will be on a seasonal pitch and will be getting delivered to the site
Looking to purchase a used 4 berth caravan with the Alde heating system , motor mover and island bed
Any advice on whether to go private or local dealer
Thanks

Beware of side Island beds... If one of you is tall, the space across the foot of the bed means that getting to the loo from the other side of the bed it'd be impossible not to disturb the other person... Make sure when you see these cans that you extend the bed out from it's day position.

Our Bailey Unicorn Cabrera is a "fore and aft" bed = no problem!

If on a seasonal site why would you need the motor mover? MM are an optional extra and can be fitted at any point in time.

Welcome aboard - lots of knowledge on this site and some great folk.

Keep us posted on your search for a caravan, and good luck.
