Just wondering if it would be better to buy another Van of about two years old or go new,I was thinking along the line of a Fleetwood corona..Elddis club..or the sprite..all are around £10.000,i only go away about 40 to 50 nights a year also thinking of the servicing and insurance,i wonder if it is really worth going brand new...What are your comments...(Thanks)

Eddie this is quite a personal decision.

Does it bother you sleeping in someone else's bed. Do you want an unused washroom. or

Do you not mind losing a lot of money, do you like the latest toys.

I prefer to buy new myself as despite what you may read on here I find that this is the best way to a hassle free 3 year ownership prospect. It will always cost you more buying new and if you were careful I reckon you could pick up a 5k van and still get 4k back 2 years later. Try that with a new van.

Hi Eddie,

Personally, we've always bought vans a couple of years old. I'm sure having a brand new van is very nice but a van which is only a couple of years old should be in very good condition. You also don't lose as much in depreciation and get a bit of a bargain.

I've recently bought a new-ish van and it still can with a 1 year warranty from the dealer. You can barely tell it's been used !!

Hope you find what you want.

There are few new toys in caravans, you will not miss out much in two year old caravan if anything.

Unless you never use hotels or public toilets or site facilities you will have slept in beds used by others or have used used washrooms. Nothing wrong with buying a good pre owned caravan and saving a good deal of cash.
