new post emails???

🙁 Suddenly I am being bombarded with email notifications for just about every post made on the forums.
how can I switch this facility off please :huh:

There are 3 tabs at the bottom of each post, the middle one being 'subscribe' or 'unsubscribe'. If it shows 'unsubscribe' then you are automatically subscribed to get notifications for that thread and you need to click on it to 'unsubscribe'.

Having opened a dozen or so different posts & checked the above it would seem that every post I have opened is marked up as subscribe ???? so is there a way of unsubscribing all posts automatically Ie making unsubscribe the default option or do I have to unsubscribe from every post I read or open???? :S

If they are identified as 'subscribe' then you are already unsubscribed. No action needed. It tells you the action you can do, not what the current status is.

You can look at your email notifications to see which particular threads you are already subscribed to.

🙂 Hi Woosi1 ,right I understand ,so if the postsnotificationsthat are emailed to me & there are about 6 different
posts are all marked as subscribe when I checked how is it I keep getting notifications of them ??? & how can I stop em 🙂

I think you now need help from higher beings. 😗

There are no higher being than King of the Woosies but in the meantime I may be able to help. 😉
Look at the head of each message board after clicking to open it.
Click on the 'Unsubscribe' button, do this on each message board and this should prevent unwanted emails.

I have done as suggested & checked each board & determined that the cypher "subscribe" is evident, I understand that this will conversely ensure that my inbox will no more receive notifications of new posts as I will be unsubscribed :silly: 😳
