New shape Vectra 2lt. DTI

Hi all,

Do any of you tow with the new shape vectra 2lt DTI. I would like any feedback on it's towing ability. I already have a 1.8 petrol version, which i realy like but the only disapionting thing it does'nt like going in cruise control mode in 5th gear while towing. I would realy like the 2.2 DTI engine but there quite rare to get hold of, so i'm now concidering the 2lt DTI but am concerned about how well it would cope with towing an all up tow weight of 1400kg.

Any coments would be greatfully received

The new (current) Vectra has 1.9 CDTi engines (120 or 150 PS) or 3.0 CDTi (184 PS).

The 2.0DTi and 2.2DTi were previous models.

when i say new shape i mean vectra's from 02 plate which had 2lt & 2.2lt DTI engines before the new commonrail diesel' came out
 
The max. towload of the current shape Vectra but with the older 2.0DTI is 1500kg for the saloon, 1400kg for the estate and both have a max. gross train weight limit of 3350kg.
