Has any one stopped at the new stop over point/services on the M20 near to the tunnel?

I'm crossing via the tunnel 3.30am on the 21st June & wondering if its worthwhile getting there about 10ish on the Friday evening & getting my head down for a few hours.

For me its only a 2hr trip from home to the tunnel, so I'm just working out whether its worth it to get there earlier or to stay at home & arrive at check in time?

Any thoughts/suggestions?

George,

I posted something about the M20 Junction 11 services a few months back - I was returning from my office in Holland and stopped at these services - you may want to do a search...

In March they were advertising a caravan stop over area - seemed to be alongside the building away from the car park area. But I got the feeling - just by looking at the area - that around 5 vans would be the limit.

Stopped a few times over the next two months - to use my Shell card - and then in late May the signs were changed - a 2 hour maximum wait time notice appeared and the caravan signs disappeared.

So, as an area - it's modern and clean, with LCD information boards for Eurotunnel and Folkestone - and it's described as the "early arrivals" area - but in peak summer it's not going to be big enough for everyone wanting to arrive early...
