Can anyone tell me (Kath - Swift?)if the new Swift Challenger 570 or the Eccles Ruby will be on show at the Scottish Caravan Show at the SECC 5-8 February?

I would love to see one as the brochures from Swift have a lot of technical details on these new models but not many photos.

These models may be the answer to my prayers because they have the layout we want in a single axle van.

Hi Sophie

We are delighted to see the amount of enthusiasm and anticipation there is for our two new models.

The first show the Eccles Ruby and the Challenger 570 will be seen at is the NEC in Birmingham 17th - 22nd February.

We are currently in the process of producing the brochures for these two caravans in time for the NEC.

We do hope you will be able to attend.

Regards Martin Hailey (@ Swift)

Thanks for your SWIFT reply Martin(bet you haven't heard that one before). Unfortunately we live in the Highlands of Scotland and the Glasgow show is the furthest south I can manage. Never mind I'll just have to wait and get a brochure later in February.

In the meantime if anyone going to Birmingham, has any thoughts on either of these 'vans I'd be pleased to hear about them.

We're going, but not until the last Saturday, but are definitely interested in the new Swift models. If no-one else has posted anything, then I'd be happy to do a quick review for you.

Thanks Val, that would be great. I've looked at the online brochures on these two 'vans but it's not the same as actually being able to see them.

I'm particularly interested to know how the space feels. Our Swift at the moment has a L shaped lounge, side dinette and end washroom which makes it feel very spacious.

We'd be giving up the side dinette in favour of the fixed bed but I think it would work for us as we get older.

Thanks again,

Sophie

Apologies, in my 'SWIFT REPLY' I gave some incorrect information. The Sterling Eccles Ruby will be at the NEC, but unfortunately not the Challenger 570, the Challenger 580 will be there. Martin (SWIFT)

The Eccles Ruby is the the Sterling version of the Swift Challenger 570. So the layout is exactly the same, the differences are in the interior and exterior styling. I hope this assists. Kind Regards Martin (SWIFT)

A little disappointed to see that Swift are still not producing an Island bed/L-shaped front lounge model. We are looking at this layout as we have had l-shaped lounges in all our previous vans. Will possibly have to "migrate" to Xplorer Group as they do feature this layout in several of their models.

I,m also dissapointed to see that swift has dropped the 490 challenger 5 berth / and the ace award nightstar 5 berth i know they,re basicliy the same van and it,s cost cutting ,we were looking to change to a challenger it will have to be a 2008 model or 2007 . tj

Tj

We have the Nightstar and have converted the rear end to fixed(liftable) bed.It seems that market forces dictate that the layout is only available in the Charisma range aimed at the less costly end of the market

Still it removes temptation !!!
