New to all this - TV ariel question!!!

Hi - We're complete novices to caravanning and the proud owners of a 2005 Fleetwood Sonata Melody. Having just spent our first weekend away we discovered that although there is an ariel socket installed and the concealed co-ax cable runs up to somewhere in the top of the wardrobe, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of an ariel having been on the roof? Inside the wardrobe there is a sticker with 'TV' and a red dot on the underside of the roof.

Could an ariel be installed but I haven't found it? or should I just buy one and run the cable in through a window?

The Owners manual refers to 2 types of ariel installed but I'm lost as to where they could have been! Any pointers on how best to fit one would be very welcome.

Hi Jim - There is what looks like a vent which stands about 3 inches high but that's all.

I looked at neighbouring vans and they mostly had an oval or plate sized ariel near that vent but mine doesn't.

I'm just wondering if previous owner removed it but there are no visible screw holes to be seen looking out of the roof vent.

Found out that Adria now own Fleetwood caravans and emailed one of their dealers yesterday. Got a very quick reply informing me that Adria don't fit ariels as standard but do wire in the neccessary coax cable etc. The red sticker in the wardrobe is where you drill through if you want to fit your own ariel on the roof.
