Hello everyone

My wife and I are looking at getting into caravanning and went out to look at some second hand vans today. Saw a couple that we liked the look of (5 berthers) but here's the rub! Ideally we'd like to keep it around the back of the house, which has a drive width of 2250mm, so getting a 2200mm van down the side will be almost impossible! Is there such a thing as a narrow caravan? If there is, would you mind posting a link that we can follow?

Of course, we might just end up having to keep the van off-site. Thanks for any advice!

Hello Warrick and welcome. We're newbies too, we picked up our first caravan in October and absolutely love it. We're a family of 5 too and found choices a bit more limited than our friends who only needed a 4 berth but we got there in the end.

Can we suggest that you put your question re: Caravan width under 'Buyers Guide'? There are lots of very knowledgable and friendly folks on here who we're sure will be able to help you.

Good luck in your quest!

Hi Claire and Rob

Thanks for your message. We will do as you suggested.

We only have the two children but their Granny lives with us so we may like to take her along sometimes.

Our friends often goe along to organised events with the Leicestershire Caravan Club which sound great (and cheap).

We are looking forward to joining them.

All the best

Rachael
