New to caravanning

I have purchased a Sprite Alpine SV early 1980's for my first venture into caravanning. my car is a Proton "N" reg MPI saloon (1500cc) for which I need to buy a towing bracket. The (large) back window of the caravan is broken, and the fridge has been removed, but as I paid just £125 for it I am quite pleased with the purchase. Can anyone advise me as to the viability of towing this van with the Proton, and where might I obtain a cheap second hand window and fridge? Any advice on any aspect would be greatly appreciated. Best to start with the bad news ..

I think you'll find it very hard to find a towbar for a Proton, Towsure and at least one other dealer don't list them so you would be looking at a custom build if one could be engineered on. They could have been made at one time but I can imagine that Proton Towbars are NOT high on the sales list.
