New Van

Picked up our first ever new caravan from Reads at Blackburn. Took it to Scarborough that weeekend and just got back. Our van's a Bailey GT60 520/4. What a great break despite the weather. We love our new van. i was a little worried about potential problems we might have (from reading forums).John Cox (Reads) was a very reassuring voice. Not one problem, everything went smoothly.

I would like to pass on my thanks to John and the rest of the Reads team for making this a pleasurable experience. apart from handing over all that money. lol

Congratulations on your new caravan David and it's good to know that all went well.

The thing to remember is that a majority of forum posts about caravans often highlight things that have broken or failed.

A trouble shared is a trouble halved and all that but the 'silent majority' of caravanners never use forums and one would hope that they share your (and my own) positive experiences where everything is as it should be.

It's nice to know that if things go awry there will always be someone on the forum to offer advice though.

im glad you like the new caravan and i will certainly pass on your thanks to John and everyone else......and thank you for choosing us for your purchase.

A new caravan without a snagging list? Now that's a first, i've only had 3 new caravans, swift, Avondale, Bailey, and ALL had a list of problems to sort. I should apply to the guinness book of records, you never know?

HI! I have had a few new vans and have found that 1st outing everything o.k. 2nd outing then the problems started to happen like things falling off things rattling loose .i suppose it depends how far you travel before problems start.

cheers Duggie
