New Year in the North West

I know this is a little late maybe to get a pitch, but I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good site (with entertainment) for the New Year period within an hour and a half of Wigan (2 adults and 2 kids, 2 & 6).

We had no plans to go away, but we are taking delivery of a new van at the beginning of december and thought it may be a good time to test it out, rather than wait until our next official outing in february.
 
CC Burrs Park Bury, theirs a pub at the site entrance and one a little down the road, not sure if they have spaces, keep ringing the site bound to get cancallations.
