I’d say the OP has sucked our brains and is now well versed in most aspects of how CRA may assist him in the event he buys from a Dealer.

He is part of a young family . Whilst his budget is small he still deserves to know the potential remedies open to him post purchase from a Dealer.
We said Dusty Dog. My brother is after a van below £10 k, but with transverse bed. . He looks then sees something a few quid more. Slowed him down again when he got to £16 k.

......the OP only joined the Forum last Friday evening and has received comprehensive answers and advice to his first question.
Surely the OP is the only one to decide if some answers are off topic and unhelpful?

The Pageant S6 is a nicely equiped van, but check damp around the front windows as this is a common weak spot as the screw holes were not countersunk in production and the panel can crack around the window hinge screws causing water ingress.
other than that and a new battery charger our S6 Pageant Bretagne served us well for 11 years and we only sold it because the kids outgrew the bunk beds
